Is the Taiwan replacement metal ( fenders, doors, qrt. skins etc) any good for a restoration. Or, is there a USA company for old car parts.
About to pull the plug and pick up a 72 Nova SS. First car I bought when in high school. So, getting excited to get back to owning one and driving it in due time.
Thanks for any help in locating good sheetmetal and good parts.

It's a crap shoot..

Some fall right on and line up

Others need a cut off wheel and a mig welder to get decent gaps.

Sometimes a block of wood and a BFH.

Start with a company called AMD ...

Been at this game for 48 years and counting ...PM me with any Question

Not sure about car parts but Taiwan quality control is way, way better than China’s in general manufacturing.

Haven't bought it yet. Spent about an hour looking over and talking shop and beaver work on the guys property. He's pulling it out from storage so I can go over it in detail. I'm trying to get the Vin and run it. If the Vin has a K for the fifth digit in the Vin. Then its a true Super Sport and matching numbers car. Only 12,300 made in 1972.
Will be alot of work if I buy it. Probably will buy it at reduce cost if not matching. Great year and car. I owned a 72 back in the 80's. But, was just a plain Jane model.
A matching numbers super sport car after fully restored is in the $30 - 50 thousand range. Hopefully we can come together.

No matter where the panels come from, don't expect them to fit. They will need some tweaking.

Yes Yes and Yes. Found the K in the Vin. True Super Sport L48 350 with matching engine, tranny. All there, just not together. A little rough in some places. Very rare. Like just said earlier. Only 12,300 made. Now we will talk price.
Hoping to barter and get the engine, tranny in at his place since he has the means. And then drive it home soon enough.
