Got my first full sized spec last night ..not sure what these lil fish are but there every where. Won't bite anything , wish I had a net.Lotta ribbon fish too but cant get the hook in their mouths .O well got my first full sized spec last night

Probably my favorite catching and eating fish and that’s coming from someone who was catching yellowfin tuna Tuesday down in Quepos Costa Rica. To catch ribbonfish we used to use small gold Aberdeen hooks and bait them with small pieces of shrimp or the little minnows your seeing under the lights. I’ve been told ribbonfish are excellent eating fish but I’ve never tried them. More Cowbell
