Go ahead and be stupid, people please use proper solar glasses or filters. You can get solar eclipse glasses at a lot of libraries for FREE. They don't cost much to buy either.

Or damage your eyes if you want. The Sun is nothing to play around with when it comes to your eyes.

I'm blind- and I can't see

for the last one I took a 10 glass and a 5 glass , took out the clear glass and with the 10 arc welding glass and 5 gas torch welding glass it was comfortable to look at the sun for long stretches of time.

the eclipse before that I was in high school welding and that is exactly what we did , put on gas goggles and then arc hood

Witnessed my 1st total solar eclipse on July 10th, 1972
at the YMCA in Syracuse, N.Y. and a 2nd partial solar eclipse
on August 21st, 2017 at Southwick Beach State Park
near Henderson Harbor, N.Y..

Nothing particularly good or bad happened on those days
but it was a neat event to see with my own eyes.

I can still see after looking at it, sort of !!!
