.....and leaks are what you get in your plumbing. Only called ramps around me. Dug a bunch this weekend and got just about as many tiny deer ticks off me as I did ramps.

We call them ramps. What I have read as the definition of ramps is that ramps are wild leeks.

When I was still in grade school , a friend showed me about them , but called them wild garlic, his father was from PA. We had spaghetti for dinner and we went into the woods to dig some for a side dish. They moved back there after 6'th grade. I called them wild garlic until I worked with some guys from WV and they brought some to work. What I thought were wild garlic are what they called ramps.

So if'en I dig up some ramps, take em home and plant em in a couple rows, cultivate and water em and then harvest; they grow into leeks cause they ain't wild no more? Lol
