I’ve never used pogos. But I thought I’d make some up since I’ve ‘inherited’ a pogo driver. Buying 1 1/2-2 inch fender washers is the sticking point. Menards and Home Depot have them but they’re going to be pricey if I buy very many of them.

For those of you who use them, where do you get your washers?

Try Granger or most any industrial supply house. Gat an Auto Body shop around you?

Do you have a 11/2" hole saw bit and a piece of metal the thickness of your driver slot? Washers are pretty easy to make and usually cheaper

Can get Wolf Fang-type anchor ends for $42/100.

Cheaper than pogos to make at this price.

They sell them in the bulk bins at Theisens. When they run a sale you can get them dirt cheap.

Not even close!

You can get fender washers for 8-18 cents a piece if you buy in bulk.

I use only 2" washers.

Cheap as I've found them in bulk here is $5/lb. There are 17 two inch washers in a pound. So, that's about $30/100 not including tax.

Now, add in 100 j-hooks (which are NOT needed with fangs) = $12/100

We are now up to $42/100. Same prices as fangs.

Then both have to have cable and two double ferrules.

So...yes...that is CLOSE!

I really like 2" Pogo's for creek banks, I pay $25 a hundred for those... But on land 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" are plenty in my dirt.. only pay $12-$16 a hundred for those.. I don't use many earth anchors anymore it seems, I use Drags on most land traps these days

If you have a farm store you usually can buy them by the pound pretty cheap. Ours is Farmers Co-op also a good place to buy chain.
