Looked like Groeny pretty much decided it’s the end of the season many places let’s buy a little cheaper. This was last week on hatter beaver at Wiebkes .I thought Groenys rat, mink prices looked poorer than they should. And a top of 10 for red fox I wouldn’t sell any for that. Take a chance shipping isn’t bad advice for some items. IMO Wiebke are very good to deal with as well.[Linked Image]

I understand why some sell when lowballed but jeez… I averaged just under 15 on my reds and almost 70 on otters so far. I’ll wait until FHA to see a beaver average. My rats will always average decent up north because of the percentage of black rats I get. 10 for top reds and 15 avg on beaver , with that otter avg, I’d walk.

Nobody lol. I moved here from up north. I’ll run my beaver and rats to quakertown next weekend and visit some folks and businesses I know up there. I’ll be home by early afternoon. Well worth it to me to make the 3 hour drive once a year.

GFW is quick to post routes, price increases (without saying the prices), and encouraging trappers on what species to go after. It would sure be nice if they’d notify when markets turn the other way, even if it is during buying season.

Gfw I feel hasn't always treated me the best. I support the smaller local buy
Avg 15 for beaver frozen on carcass. 5 for green coon. 2 dollar carcass rats. 7 dollar coyote.

Have they turned? Or is it a seasonal thing? The auction gauge showed improvement in many species with higher prices paid and better clearance. The cost of doing business has increased, diluting the return. Perhaps we spinning out of this rut. Hopefully FHA can adjust to lower selling costs if/when this thing gains some traction. Realistically we are heading in uncharted territory with the ranch adjustment and Kopenhagen falling. You could go on and on.

Nimzy remember that only FHA Grade1 prices are shown, not the true across the board prices like some of the posted above.

50 there is no room for section 3 goods in this market. Even the country weeds out the NoValue skins and sends them back. I expect their presence is low and getting lower.
