Oh, look, we are saving the environment by littering the landscape with hundreds of ugly blades that do next to nothing and can't be deposed of!

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

Exactly, but they are where the libtards don’t have to see them or have them spoil their view…. They SUCK!! Best part is they wear out and are too costly to fix so they are left to lie in landfills til who knows when. Subsidized energy is a joke. If it was profitable and long term reliable we wouldn’t need to pay for it as investors would gladly jump in line to support our nations energy requirements…. Let that sink in for a bit.

At least they left enough room between them for solar farms

Don Quixote would need a taller horse and much longer lance.

I think the "green movement" is just short for the "gangrene of the logic center of the brain movement". They are bad for people and the environment.

I'd like to see a comprehensive enviro impact study done from beginning to end on the prod, install, maintenance and disposal of these monstrosities.
Weigh that against their benefits.
Prolly never will tho.

Windmill blades raise the air temp as the air passes over the blades due to friction of the impurities in the air over the blade's surface. The reason the blades wear out. Figure even a minute increase of air temp of the air leaving the blade compared to the incoming temp TIMES the number of windmills in a wind farm results in a profound effect not only on temps but wind currents. Wind power is a farce.

More than a million birds a year are being killed by those things including endangered species.

Atleast you can graze or farm around them, it's solar panels here, basically fields of black and not much else

The energy produced by a windmill is energy removed from the atmosphere. In other words, wind turning a windmill is slowed in proportion to the work done turning the blades. I want to see an environmental study done on the effect of removing all that energy from the atmosphere.

It has been proven that wind turbines, in large numbers, noticeably change the weather.

Keith, do you have references? I would love to see them.

This article explains about weather changes some.

https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/how-wind-turbines-affect-temperature/

I read a much better study by a University, but can't remember which one. They found that wind turbines changed weather patterns similar to how tall buildings in cities do. Even though they are placed less densely than buildings, because of the massive amount of wind turbines over a large, concentrated area, they have more of an impact. They also found that because the turbines are placed to catch the wind, in windy areas, such as passes through hills and cities are not, that turbines slow the wind and cause strong turbulence more, leading to greater chances of adverse weather.

Basically wind turbines create diverging currents and eddies in wind streams, which at least on a local area can effect rain, snowfall, temperature and the likelihood of dead air zones and circulating winds.

At the time of Obama's first term I worked on a building that was being made into a windmill factory. It had Dutch investors and I'm not sure if subsidized, but probably was. I did meet a prominent democrat, General Wesley Clark, as he walked with these investors. It never opened its doors.
