g smith OP trapper Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 1,302 Mt.	We have been on this place 19 years (barely west of the continental divide and more trees than grass here ). I have not seen 5 Meadow Larks here in 19 years. Now 13 are here and have been for a week in my horse pasture . They must be waiting for it to warm up east of here and some bugs to show up .Nasty cold and windy here . These have a different song than the ones we had in SE Mt. You can ride a fast horse slow but you can't ride a slow horse fast .

Between modern farming practices and the increase in nest robbers (possums) I guess they're gone. My fear of moving stairs is escalating!
