Thinking about getting a food dehydrator. Anyone have a recommendation?
I am not looking for a high end one, just one I can use for jerky

of course once you get started you start dreaming about a 10 tray commercial type but it can be hard to justify the $$ when you have a working one.

That's what I use too. It will dry 2# of ground meat jerky. 2 hrs on each side. 4 total. I use a jerky shooter to squeeze the ground meat out onto the trays.

Lots o' ways to dry jerky. Long before my first dehydrator i used to insert a toothpick in the end and hang the slices through a grill in the oven. Set the oven at 150 degrees and leave the door open a bit

I’ve got a cheep plastic one that I’ve used for going on 20 years. Works great. A jerky gun is a must have imo.
