Yes after tax 28% tax on a regular jackpot not sure about that amount percentage on this if there’s any change. Check was out of Las Vegas might be some kind of fund or insurance of some sorts.
Some machines are linked up to other casinos machine jackpots on the larger grand payouts to reduce the payout hits. The check must of been overnighted if it got there from Vegas.

Ah, taxes!!! It will be a larger concern of mine in biden gets back in office or any demo. The tax cuts we have now was a trump tax cut and that goes off in 2025 I believe. The talk is in the financial world is watch out taxes will be going sky high when this tax law ends and if biden gets back in.
Scary, scary times ahead for tax rules and inheritance taxations.
