Do any of you have wild populations of melanistic Gambusia holbrooki in your area? They are often called mosquito fish. The melanistic ones range from solid black to spotted like dalmatians. The males are more likely to be melanistic than the females.

I have some ideas for a breeding project I want to try with them and need to source them.

Southern for Guppies. They live in all our waters. If you just want Gambusia, and not a special type they should be easy to get.

Do you need a huge amount of them? I'm sure someone in MN has some in an aquarium if you're not looking for a "wild" fish. There is a huge Aquarium scene in MN and I can put a feeler out in one of the Facebook groups if you'd like?

I have a bunch of the regular ones in one of my aquariums. MN just listed both types as prohibited invasives. No one in MN can legally get you any. Other states have dome similar.
