I listen in for few hours, on coon, sounded like clear the out. No idea what section was that selling but lot lots brought close dbl from open bid, sounded like coon went for good prices for the poor shape market in ..past seasons auctions, coon prices were poor at auctions

I miss rat auction, sounded decent for coon with shabby markets nowadays, however a year an 2 years or more back. Auction wasn't good for coon. Wonder if this well drive up coon prices for country buyers?

I wonder where the renewed interest in raccoon is coming from? If you listened there was competative bidding on most every lot from multiple bidders. No, averages were not gangbusters but quite an improvement especially on the better coon over recent sales.

There were a lot of buyers there from a lot of different countries.
A buyer that was there posted on the CNTA forum it was like a war at times in the auction room.

Looks like walleyed finally sold 68 lesser muskrat
for a $2.59 average before FHA fees & commission.

Most of our better muskrat remain unsold.

Some of those rats have been molding up
there in North Bay for nearly 3 years.

Underwhelming, & definitely not worth the wait.

Should have sold to Groeny !!! laugh

Yes, I should have said better/bigger coon. But past auctions they couldn't get a bid on anything but the better stuff. This time there was actually competative bidding going on for D colors. Sorry for my optimism.

"A buyer that was there posted on the CNTA forum it was like a war at times in the auction room."

Were the Chinese throwing poutine at each other ? They certainly would not have been able to have any kind of weapon. Most have been a big demand for wet wipes.

So you surmise that lower grade rats showing up as sold
on our accounts today were actually dumped private treaty
long before today's auction ?

Do you have any evidence to support this theory ?

In typical F HA fashion, they sold most articles for less than what was paid in the country
