I'm curious, does any one go to scripture for there dietary plan.
Carnaly and or spiritual?
Bible verses would be great.

I'm more of a Genesis 9:3 type.
Every thing that liveth shall be meat for you; Even as the green herb have I given you all things.

In the garden of eden, adam and eve only ate plants. Vegans like to cite that as "proof" that their diet is what god wants for us. They seem to ignore the fact that Jesus himself ate fish, and gave other people fish to eat.

Gen 9 was post flood. 100s of years before the lavitical laws..
Even the Lord in Genesis 18 ate beef
This chapter is leading up to the distruction of Sadom.
This is a Chistophany, an appearance of the Lord in the old testament.
Genesis 18:8 And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and. He stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.

There something to be said for the medicinal value of wine.
In 1 Timothy 5:23 Paul says to Timothy ( Drink no longer water, but use a little wine for thy stomachs sake and thine often infirmities.)
Timothy was a Nazarene, therefore he was forbidden to to drink wine.
Wine was served with water to help sanitize the water.
Timothy probably had stomach issues from bad water.

I don't think Timothy was a Nazarene, otherwise Paul wouldn't have suggested for Timothy to drink some wine for his stomach issues.

Good point silky
On the other hand, if Timothy was not a Nazarene why would he neehd confirmation to use wine.
Wine was a staple for the Jewish peaple of that day.
Paul even said the circumcision of the flesh meant nothing.

Anyone doing a diet based off the Bible is one brainwashed individual!

swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

You have to remember that 1 out of 3 Democratic Voters is just as dumb as the other two.

I try to eat non processed, natural foods 99% of the time. Biblical or not, I’m not sure. Maybe it could technically be.

“There is nothing from without a man, that entering into him can defile him: but the things which come out of him, those are they that defile the man.”

With that said, I can’t help but think that eating healthy foods the way God created them (or as close to it as possible) is the best way to stay in good health. The processed foods and preservatives are numbing us and causing us to have to rely on pharmaceuticals which can alter our minds and bodies
