The brother of the Little Rock airport executive shot by federal agents serving a search warrant said he fears his brother may not survive.
Bryan Malinowski, 53, was injured in a shootout Tuesday with agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives at his west Little Rock home.
His older brother, Matthew Malinowski, told NBC News that the family was not sure if the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport executive director was “going to make it in the next 24 hours” while confirming his brother was shot in the head during the exchange of gunfire.
ATF officials said agents were serving a search warrant at Bryan Malinowski's home just after 6 a.m. The agents said he fired at them from inside the home, at which point they returned fire. One ATF agent suffered a non-life-threatening injury and was hospitalized.
Matthew Malinowski questioned why agents came to his brother’s home so early instead of approaching him at work. He contends the agents “broke down his door” leaving his brother no choice but to “defend himself.”
“There’s something fishy here. The ATF went after him in the worst possible way,” he said. “There’s no reason why they couldn’t have arrested him at work at the airport.”
Malinowski also said it seemed odd that his brother could be entangled with the law, noting that he was well connected in Arkansas, had an annual salary of more than $250,000, lived in a nice suburb and had collections of guns and coins.
“When someone makes that much money, there’s no incentive to do anything wrong,” the brother said. “He has so much to lose.”
Meanwhile, Matthew Malinowski said doctors are keeping his brother on life support and not performing surgery because they don’t think he would survive.
“We don’t know how much longer he has to live,” he said.
With the family still wondering what sparked the shooting and federal investigators still not releasing any details, Matthew Malinowski feels the case against his brother doesn’t add up.
“Something stinks to high (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman),” he said.

The guy was a gun collector. I can't get the links to work, but there is plenty out there to see.

be nice if you could actually read the story, you get headline and the it wants you email to continue I use an ad blocker and FoxNews always ask me to disable it or they won't let me read the article. I just use DuckDuckGo to find the story elsewhere.

the ATF doesn't think much of their own agent safety if they have a guy who works at an air port every day they could have sent 2 agents to his work and the evidence crew to the house.
real thinkers think about how they can reduce risk
a traffic stop staged with the local police , have him pulled over a few blocks away from his house on the way to work
basically anything is a better option than a No-knock
It will be very interesting to see what they were after that was so important that it is going to cost him his life and risked agent lives.

What you mean like how they could have easily picked up David Koresh at any time on his daily trip to town or morning run but instead went about it like that did. Na it's all about intimidation factor don't question just obey slaves. It's a bonus if they get to burn the place down and kill a dog or to and some innocent women and kids.

I bet they were flying a drone around his house the day before.

I bet they were flying a drone around his house the day before. I'm sure your correct on both counts,. (What there was only one point in that statement.) Correct but you also reminded me of subjects of the crown not questioning authority and obey without question. War is peace, slavery is freedom kind of thing. Guess he should have shot the drone down. At least then they would have arrested him directly not with a no knock raid.

Having watched a law enforcement assault team attack a private dwelling in person, they need to be restricted to no other choice but go in to get a dangerous person. I think its just an excuse to play with their toys most of the time.

This is exactly what these butt clowns are doing. They have no reasons for doing what they are doing in nearly all cases. Have an actual terrorist or killer, go get him. But a working man who may or may not be guilty, grab him on the way home or to work. Pathetic over payed mall security cops is how I feel towards many of the alphabet agents. With that, I’m probably next…. Lol

ATF should have to more than notify local LE when operating there , they should have to have with them at all times a Local Representative assigned to the task by the Sherriff to prevent un-necessary loss of life of the Sherriff's constitutes.
and the ATF needs to pay that persons overtime
if it is a real bomb maker or terrorist ect it won't harm a thing and for all the ATF blunders it could save them some real messes.

It will be very interesting to see what they were after that was so important that it is going to cost him his life and risked agent lives. It’s all about intimidating the general population, they don’t care about people’s lives. How many innocent people have died since no knock raids have come into being. They should be illegal and any judge that authorizes one should be disbarred. There is no penalty for the agency that conducts the raid if and when the party is innocent. Qualified Immunity leads to this kind of actions. Originally the justification for no knock raids were to keep people from flushing drugs down the toilet so the police didn’t lose evidence.

a congressional hearing should be drilling the ATF on what exactly constitutes a gun crime that you can undo the evidence of in 20 seconds
A known drug house where you have tracked multiple sales too , I can see a judge singing off on that
but an airport executive you could pick up basically any time from his office , what judge signs off on that ?
either the people running US air ports need a LOT more vetting or the ATF is way out of line.
you trust a guy to run a US airport that handles thousands of peoples safety every day , but you feel the need to no knock his residence at zero dark thirty. that just doesn't make any sense.
