Very docile little guy and had a family to go back to (less a couple I took) I rehabbed a fawn whitetail once (no not supposed to do that either). Was a great experience and I'd do it again, even though I kill a few ever year for the freezer. We have brains and a conscience for a reason. Not to mention seems we got a bit softer when it comes to things like this as we age.

He would come back every couple days for some handouts then head back to the Bush. Then just before winter he showed up with 5 other coon for his handout.I couldnt tell which one he was so I shot and skinned them all.. Last edited by Boco; 03/17/24 07:27 PM. Pinky size or adult size, they all pass over the Rainbow Bridge. Except Reds…they all get a pass until I catch more than one every couple of years.

I gave it to a lady who kept it until it weighed about ten pounds at which time she released it in a pond in her back yard. I don't remember what happened to it after that.
