Been pushing up the fields here for almost a month already. Thought it was old hills but they kept growing and multiplying since.
Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.

The Camas pocket gopher is the largest average size one in the country. It only lives in Oregons Willamette Valley. Lucky we are. They do get bigger than those above. Have caught a few that measured 13 inches not counting the tail. The very best trap I have found for it is the Magnum Gophenator. It is by far much easier to set then the Cinch trap pictured above. Worth quite a bit more from grass seed farmers and others then the prices paid in the bounty states.
Them and moles pay my winter trapping fuel bill plus some.
Betting WWS gets quite a bit more for them then I do. Ted

Picked up my first one of the year two days ago, a full six weeks earlier than last year. Townships pay $4.00/tail with the local cellular phone company matching it in some townships. Some engineers decided to coat the fiber optics with coating made from soybean oil. Gophers think its like a buffet table so match the bounty and still can't get kids to trap them. Locals are tickled to have me come put and trap them with some matching the $4.00 bounty. Trapping gophers has opened up alot of doors for me in regards tp properties too!

Save them for coyote trapping this fall. There's not a better bait down the hole in gopher country. Must be the Wiley coyote/Roadrunner thing. They lost their minds.
