Coyote trap a lot under wind turbines around here

Just a few hours being near them gives me a bad headache, eyes go funny

But it’s worth it as they are the perfect automatic coyote feeding machines

I can’t stand being close to them cause they’re big and scary. Not sure what other effects come from them but I don’t like seeing them. They just make me uneasy

Yes, they make me ill. This windmills will not support themselves. They rely on government subsidies to be built on and to run on. They brag that they bring in real estate taxes but they pay little or none for the 5+ years following their erection.

As Warren Buffet has said if it were not for the tax credits we would not invest in them. It seems windmill companies receive tax credits which they then can sell off to banks or others for profits that use them to pay less taxes.

I am all about green energy and being self supporting but windmills are nothing more than the American public being asked to subsidize an industry that will in turn charge you for the electricity it produces.

From what I have read it takes more energy to build and erect these windmills than the electricity they will produce. And then the next question is to what do we do with them when they need to be replaced or decommissioned. We do not have enough landfills for these.

Now let’s talk about how they infringement on our citizens rights as far as shadow flicker, and noise pollution. Why should any non-participating landowner have to put up with any shadow flicker or any noise from these monstrosities.

I live in a county that is fighting back to try and stop a couple hundred of these being built in our county. They will destroy the landscape for the eastern part of our county.

I do not have the figures and am only guessing but I suspect that over 75% of the windmills proposed are on land are absentee landowners who may live hundreds of miles away from the effects of the windmills.

As you may have guessed there are 2 such windmills proposed to be built directly across from my home. The owners of the land where these two windmills are to be built live over 200 miles away. They do not need the money as one is a dermatologist and the other is married to a lawyer. They just inherited over $6,000,000 worth of land. Tell me they need the money.

I have to quit responding right now as my blood is boiling. If you need further information please go to wind-watch.org

Many people in my area fought the installation of wind turbines hard. A friend of mine has made thousands of dollars annually, for close to 20 years, from a wind turbine company that has an option on his property to build there. Litigation has kept the project going no further than bat and bird studies.

They have started cramming in tens of thousands of solar panels near me. People are fighting that too, but with little obvious effects.

Here in Mid-Michigan south of Clare for 30-40 miles you would think you were in Holland just no tulips.

My county (Midland) won't let then be installed.

I’d rather see a coal burning power plant that supports many jobs and strengthens our countries economy!

Generations from now, these iron structures will be rusted and worthless, and they’ll be saying “What the heck were those guys thinking”.

So yea , on top of making you drowsy, it’s a terrible alternative power source.

Keep on digging coal, drilling oil and fracking for natural gas.

Beeman is right in that the most aggravating thing about them is the taxpayer funding.
As far as health effects, I'm not sure I'm buying it. I have lived next to a wind farm for about five years. The closest one is about a quarter mile. They can be a little noisy at times, but most of the time they make very little noise, or the wind itself is louder and drowns out the sound. We are used to them and mostly don't even notice them anymore.

I hate them too. But I believe they're made out of fiberglass and not steel.

Then edit that statement to “These Structures will be worthless” , same principal of a short lived non efficient energy source.

They’re trying to put them off our coast in MD right now, we’re pushing against it

They are a plague. In the rural area I lived in, there are several hundred dotting the landscape (which is all flat soybean fields). The night sky is now a mix of blinking red aviation markers on the turbine towers and a sickly purple aurora glow from the cannabis operation grow lights.
I had a turbine about 300 yards from my house and when the wind direction had us behind the blades the whooshing made one physically ill.

Just happy to be here.

City folk seem to like them.

I say let’s put them on the tops of their skyscrapers.

One turbine outta be able to (almost) power a skyscraper most days eh?

They’ve already ruined their skyline anyway.

Good friends were offered $20k per year per unit for 3 units in the Sandhills but the locals defeated them.
I agree with building them near the cities if they want them. Why 300 miles of transmission lines from the rural areas? Because the greenies don't want to look at them either.

Life ain't supposed to be easy.

That’s just what they want you to think.

Yes, but physically?
Aquatic wind farms have been reported to confuse the sonar signaling of whales, impeding their ability to forage….

Might be an inner ear issue on humans.
My guess the EMT rate would be less of equal to Transmission lines.
