Lots of them here. The old farmers that retired go to all of them for something to do. It like their morning coffee and social club

MO still has quite a few in the rural areas along with flea markets, I bought my storage container online I think it’s cleaner on line with less pressure on the bidding end at least it was for me.

I like online auctions too. I think they are less competitive and thus cheaper to purchase at. A good live auctioneer will get the crowd pumped up and goad bidders into a bidding war.
Some auctioneers, especially the Amish ones around Mount Hope and Sugar Creek, Ohio, are very hard to understand. I typically send a buyer to those auctions. The Amish on my end of the state are easy to understand.
We live out in the country. There's not much close to us. If I made an hour or two drive to an live auction, I would have a tendency to pay more than I should for an item, or buy items I only sort of want, so I wouldn't feel I wasted a trip. I like online auctions because I don't have to potentially waste a trip, except when the auctioneers lose an item, which has happened 3 times.
I like live auctions too. They are exciting. I can usually get a better look at what I am buying. There is usually a lot of items that would never make an online auction. I tend to go to good nearby auctions. I like not paying a large buyer's premium at live auctions.
The produce auctions will be getting good towards the end of next month. I enjoy produce auctions too.

Online auctions have largely taken over here. There are still occasional live auctions which are usually paired with a online component. Livestock sales are still overwhelmingly live auction format.
One thing I have noticed with the online auctions is that often items, that in a traditional auction you would expect to be thrown into a $5 box lot, are separated and sold individually and often bring very high prices.
