Heading out to pick up another transom mount trolling motor........ any thoughts --- Minn-Kota or Motor Guide ??

I had a Minn-Kota but after three years of very limited use it quit working. Took the cover off and it had water in it........ thoughts ??

Nah, too fancy for me Vinke. I use them for :

Plan B too get home in case the gas motor has issues
Get into the skinny water for ducks and such
Some trolling but not much

Lot of guys here got the spot lock instead of anchoring on the artificial reefs, bridge abutments and small rock piles. Very expensive. Guys all say the same thing, great when it works.... which is rare , lol
