Well, they did nothing wrong in their response to an active shooter. Other then wait outside 77 minutes while kids were being killed. Total BS. Sad day when corrupt agencies protect each other. Glad I'm not in uniform anymore. But, then again. I would have been fired for doing the right thing and engaging the shooter. Before anyone thinks sure you would. Did just that in April 2019. Partner was shot and bad guy shot. End of fight when hit from a single 45acp gold dot. This just pisses me off. Sarge

Disgraceful. I wore the shield from 1988 to 1998 before smart phones and dash cams, I got tired of judges letting dirtbags out, and “ no speak English”. I felt like Serpico , just trying to do a good job… For you younger guys check out Serpico 1976? Corruption in policing…

It was a planned shoot. That was why they stood with no intent of going in. I wonder what that paid them.

I hope those cowardly police don't enjoy a single moment more of their lives from well justified shame.
Keith How could they possibly continue being officers in Uvalde? One would imagine the citizens would rain down a constant barrage of criticism and disrespect at the officers.

It was a planned shoot. That was why they stood with no intent of going in. I wonder what that paid them. I always figured the cop calling the shots believed it to be a cartel type message and didn't want to interfere. Either it was out of fear of cartel retribution or he was on the payroll.

I've never been a cop. Never would want to be a cop, but if I had been there as a bystander, those cowards that were there would have had to shoot me to prevent me from busting in there and attempt to put a stop to it. That I can assure you. THEY WERE KIDS!!! If they keep me from getting to my kids they become the immediate threat. Threats to my kids are dealing with the same way. I can go to prison or be killed I'm ok with either to protect kids. Not just mine but all kids. Nothin but death or incapacitation will stop me from mine. I think all parents feel this way.

One of these days ya'll will realize that our federal government pays off the border state politicians to allow these kinds of things to happen. Money comes from the Feds to the cartels, then then the cartels give the money to local politicians and police officers to 'not notice anything', then the drugs and human trafficking come in and the Feds make money. Not only that, they support and fund DAs that don't prosecute crime. Especially drug trafficking, sex trafficking, illegal wetback entry crimes, etc. What happened to that poor nursing student is soon coming to all of your states. Our governor got money from somewhere to bus them all to your states.
Our government and the cartels are in bed together. Mexico was in a civil war with the cartels for a decade in 2000-2010. They were hanging politicians left and right on International bridges. Also beheading their loved ones. The cartels won. Money, greed, and power. The children be (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman)!

As far as I am concerned, there is ZERO integrity left in any 'politician' in border states. They have all been paid off someway or in some other form or fashion. They really don't have a choice if they want to come home to their family alive.
Yes, they all talk a good talk, but look at what they do! Abbott and Cornyn are perfect examples of POS payed off politicians that talk the talk, but their actions speak way way louder. What Abbott is doing in EP is a laughable joke to anyone that has ever been and worked around the border. Only for show. Despicable.

Our government and the cartels are in bed together I never even applied to be a cop. I DON'T HAVE THE SELF DISCIPLINE I EXPECT A COP TO HAVE. I could not enforce laws I dont agree with. First time I arrested a man for smacking his wife around and she let him move back in I would stay out of it after. I would not arrest anybody for shooting a child molester, and would have a hard time taking a molester to jail. It would be hard not to thump a rapist. I would not arrest for simple possession of a gun or steal cash from someone I could not prove had gotten it illegally. I would not write seatbelt tickets. I would not bother somebody who hadn't bought a permission slip for a yard sale or home improvement project. I could not remove an old woman from her home because she could not pay her property tax. I have a plan for the school here. For some ridiculous reason they lock the doors now. It would be laughably easy to get a gun inside. I will drive my pickup though the double doors out front. Force the gunman to confront me. I may not survive but I expect LE to follow me in. If they dont maybe I will survive and face a jury. That Uvalde thing makes my blood boil.
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

I could never be a police officer or a fireman. When I was 19 and still living at home my Mom and Dad’s ranch house caught on fire, my dad wasn’t home, the local volunteer firefighters were Johnny on the spot, arrived and got into position, equipment set up etc etc,, but then they didn’t know what to do next, so they sat there,, and watched it burn. I went into some sort of crazed state, took a coat from some kid and went in, hauling out as much as I could while these guys watched, got out most of our family heirloom china etc from corner cupboard, then I decided it was time to get guns out, I could not get back the hallway to the gun cabinet, so I picked up a land scapiing tie and took out a window, as I crawled in 3 or 4 guys tackled me and pulled me out, they saved my life. There was no floor in that room, I would have landed directly in the fire in the basement. At this time the chief showed up and they became a machine again, quickly extinguishing the fire. My point is training only gets one so far, at some point you have to have a leader making the right calls for the situation.
life is good......
