I've been looking for some new brass of about a year and can't find any that is under $4 per cartridge. I'm want to buy 100 - 300 if possible. Do any of you Reloaders have any for sale if so please PM me. Why is it so hard to find this caliper? Thanks

Isn’t that the case originally made from shortened 7mm Mauser?

I come across Roberts brass and 6mm brass here and there. Owning a Roberts and knowing 3 guys that have 6mm’s I typically buy it. I just sold an extra bag a new Roberts brass to a guy looking on the trap shed. I’ll keep looking. Ok please let me know if you come across any more for sure. Thanks

Years ago I shot a Roberts and I wish I would have never traded it. I would not be happy about ammo and brass prices to shoot it now, but it still would actually have worked. It was a 1 shot, 1 kill rifle for sure. Every year I would check the zero and that little Jap Mauser with an inexpensive Redfield scope would basically thread a needle for me.

I have a 6mm Rem, also based on the 7mm Mauser, and needed brass. There is none available nor any parent brass available that I could find. I was able to find a 20 box of loaded 6mm Rem so went that route. Ammoseek.com has .257 Roberts ammo listed as available from various vendors running between $2 an $3 per round. The Hazmat fee and shipping will make it more expensive if you can't find it locally. 7mmx57 brass https://www.grafs.com/catalog/product/productId/73072unprimed so no hazmat

Can't help with the Bob.......but as for the 6mm Rem, for past year or so, Graf's has had a big stack PPU brass on the shelf of their retail store, yet shows out of stock on the website. I may be up to 200 to 300 pieces by now. Enough a guy could finish burning out what is left of existing barrel, and another one after that. https://www.grafs.com/retail/catalog/category/categoryId/656For some reason, the industry has decided to sunset both once popular calibers in favor of chasing the latest fad. Would think with such a huge base of existing rifles in both calibers, somebody would go after that market. Starline comes to mind.

6mm is popular out west.....you could put a feeler for some out that way....I got a couple hundred once fired RP brass very reasonable if you have them you could sell them to him and he could resize 257 fired brass is no hazmat , just metal stampings when you USPS mail it bought and sold brass online and not from a retailer several times.
