I've been fleshing muskrats on their board with a butter knife. Is there a better/ faster way?

Yup! Also, you don’t need, or want to flesh rats real clean. Just get the big chunks of red meat off. Leave the saddle and some of the fat under front legs on. Should only take a minute or less to flesh a rat with the scraper in 2poor’s link.

I grew up a poor kid and couldn't afford the fancy tools that the high dollar loggers get. I used a one handed scraper that all the trap supply places sell. Rats are by far the easiest thing to flesh and only take a few seconds.
I have nothing clever to put here.

Take off the white fat Nimzy, What kind of stretchers are those ? Let's see a picture of one without a rat on it. w
