There's six within twenty minutes, three within ten. Lots of folks just shoot in their back yards around here.
Eh...wot?

I have a range set up with targets from 200-1200 yards on the edge of town, it is less than a mile from my place. My zero and test 100 yard range for my hand loads is across the road in a pasture, I am very fortunate to have good neighbors and friends. Of course they never worry about ammo as I keep them supplied with hunting rounds for them allowing me to have free run on their property.

the farm is about 10 minutes the cattle get first use of the pasture I use as a range , have a good shooting spot to 420 yards , can get further but I need to build a better stand to hang the target , at 420 I had a good tree limb. so I only use it when I just need a few rounds or I am shooting longer than 200. no need to make to much noise for Grandma
the club range is 20 minutes multiple bays and no worries on how much noise and we have stage props in one practice bay as well as a covered range with concrete making picking up brass easy
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

What's a gun club? Oh wait maybe it is a gun that no longer works and is therefore a club? It is like a “gentlemans” club. Mine is in a room where they do not practice birth control.

Have a gun club about 20 minutes from my place. Otherwise, I have a hill to safely shoot in in the backyard or a neighbor who has built a long range shooting range about a mile away. I have permission to shoot there too.
The difference between animals and humans is that animals would never let the dumbest ones lead the pack.
