I've got one. Fun to shoot, but mine likes to jam up sometimes for no apparent reason.

Had one when I was a kid - bought it new at the Coast to Coast Store in Elkader, Iowa for $24.95 in the 1960's. Shot many a critter with that little single shot and finally decided I needed a Marlin 39A for increased fire power. Been looking for a .22 mag. version for the past few years. Neat little gun.

I had to pay a little more than $25 for this one lol and yes those 39A’s are very nice

my dad bought me one in 1962 when I was 6. He paid $21 for it and they thru in a box of shells. I shot that gun a mountain of shells. It got where it wouldn't eject the empty shells. I gave it to my son and it hangs on the wall at his house

Hello, Slue-foot. I found your post interesting. I live about 4 miles north of the old school in Volga. I miss the Coast to Coast store. Maury was a great guy. I wasn't born in Clayton County but I intend to die here.

My dad had one. When I was in HS Dad and I shot a bit in the basement of our house after supper many evenings. Only 30 ft and we used CB caps. The target was a .22 starter gun blank stuck in a piece of cardboard and we could set off the blank with a hit. My dad had nicer .22 rifles but the Ithaca was his favorite to use. Dad was in his 50s at the time and I think the large blocky sights suited him the best.

I paid $35 for mine at a yard sale in the early 80s. Mine no longer looks as good as yours after 40 years on the trap line but has thousands of fox, coons, and coyotes to it's credit in three different states. Last one I saw sold at a farm auction brought $225.

The rifle has no will of its own it may be used for evil but there are more good men than evil men and evil will be corrected by good men with rifles.
