Know exactly how you feel! I feel the same about country insurance.

Because parts are more expensive, labor has gone up, materials on homes have almost doubled in some cases, all insurance companies have raised rates, and raised deductibles.

My advice is to insure with an independent agent who has access to multiple companies and can shop your insurance for better rates and coverages.

Most in this country have things people in other countries only dream about. Yet, they want America to be more like those other countries.

I’ve been with State Farm for a long time, and last few times that I’ve compared estimates, haven’t seen a need to switch. But I think I need a different State Farm agent. As I live on a golf course, I’ve encountered golf balls with the State Farm logo on them, more than once. I was in my agents office awhile back, and mentioned how my multi-policy business and good history, should warrant a pack. She looked at me like I had three eyes.

Just remember when you buy that 60k vehicle that in a year its not worth 60k so why should your insurance be at the same rate as a new vehicle ? Your insurance wont go down but the value of your vehicle doe,s . Shop around every couple of years and you will be surprised .

Ran into a guy from the old neighborhood one day he said he worked for an insurance company during our talk. I asked if it was a good company he laughed and said the had more attorneys then claims adjusters. LOL

Most Homeowner insurance is guaranteed replacement. Have you looked at the cost of materials, appliances, and labor?

There are a few mutual insurance companies in the property insurance business. These companies often pay a dividend when they have a prosperous year. The policy holders own the company and receive the dividend. One that comes to in is Amica.
