I had my right hip replaced in 2019. It went well. I can do all the walking I want to do. I did not have any scheduled PT. There are some restrictions early like crossing your leges etc. be sure to follow those. Walking is good but after a while I found I had lost strength in the muscles on the side of my leg so I do some side exerecises to build those back.

They just started getting me in to the surgeon after my MRI's. I get them both doneone after another. Not looking forward to it but was told to get it done asap. The older you get the longerit takes you to recup!

God please keep they 19 fallen UBB miners out of trouble up there.

I had mine done last Aug 23, anterior approach, used a walker for about 10 days then a cane for a couple of days. 1 st 2 weeks sucks stock up on Tylenol, was climbing trees in October and am running 2.5 miles a couple of days a week now. Still have a lil numbness in thigh. Worse pain was the nerve pain above my knee. Do the therapy it really helps your range of motion and strength. After surgery most my strength was gone but good now. Outpatient procedure for me made me walk and climb steps b4 they'd let me go home.

I had my left hip done several years ago, piece of cake, much better than having both my knees done, do the aftercare physical therapy and you’ll be fine!
