You can use any acrylic or lacquer paint, if you use the Hardner .
Think about it, after airing out , can you smell the paint on a new car or truck?
Same with cage traps that are painted.
Think bears can smell an inorganic material?
If it bothers them , why do they still stick their head in a bait barrel?
JMHO.
