Any thoughts. In a pen with 2x2 square wire fence around the pen with a roof over top . one duck each night last couple nights. Just missing the heads
was thinking Mink or weasel

I'd just set a trap and figure it out in the morning

It's likely an owl eating the heads off, after panicking the ducks, so that it can grab them through the wire. Owls commonly eat the heads off of ducks, other poultry, rabbits, kittens and puppies.

A raccoon would pull the duck through in pieces.

A mink or weasel would have killed all the ducks.

A rat would more likely eat the crop out and there would be obvious knaw marks on the bones.
