dirt trapper OP trapper D Joined: Nov 2017 Posts: 123 maryland	Any thoughts. In a pen with 2x2 square wire fence around the pen with a roof over top . one duck each night last couple nights. Just missing the heads was thinking Mink or weasel

KeithC trapper K Joined: May 2009 Posts: 15,802 Champaign County, Ohio.	It's likely an owl eating the heads off, after panicking the ducks, so that it can grab them through the wire. Owls commonly eat the heads off of ducks, other poultry, rabbits, kittens and puppies. A raccoon would pull the duck through in pieces. A mink or weasel would have killed all the ducks. A rat would more likely eat the crop out and there would be obvious knaw marks on the bones. Keith
