Looking to see how others are handling termite warranty’s.

For Liquid treatments, we are using Termidor HE.

We offer a 2-year termite free guarantee after each treatment. There are exceptions if we are doing a small shed/ pool or other limited treatment areas. Then there will be no guarantee, however this is stated in the beginning before treatment.

We send out a renewal letter towards the end of the initial 2-year termite free guarantee with the amount needed to extend the guarantee for another year etc..

Some companies offer a 3 year guarantee I know. Some charge more for the initial treatment to help cover the cost of a call back when offering the 3-year policy.

Thank you Bob. I appreciate it.
I am aware of warr in our area 5,7 and even 10 years with Termidor HE but I am not sure how they are writing it up or if they are charging for it.
I know HE is an incredible product and can easily go those amounts of time.

Yes, some massage the data from the MFG. The residual time in various soils will vary greatly depending on the % rate of application and how it is done. Some follow the label recommendation while others do not, as we have found.

When you cut the % of actives recommended per treatment obviously the residual time will be affected.

I have been doing treatments for 27 years. We have not had a call back as of yet.

A 5-10 yr. contract warranty is a stretch, and as a company owner I wouldn't write such language. Too many things can happen over just a few years as time will reveal to you if you are new to the business. Renewal warranties will generate $ over the years, most keep on giving for many years.
