The old broncos are super nice and simple as well. If anyone has seen the New Top Gun movie-Miles Teller drives up in an absolute beauty! Never been a Ford guy but I'd drive one of those. Nessmuck is right about buying what ya want-been through the ground up resto thing several times its huge time and money and then you're scared to drive them anywhere when finished. On my second station wagon rotisierre resto right now-wagons are tough to do. 4 doors and long roof, panels etc..Took alot of blocking to get the roof straight again-thinking too many kids ran over the roof at parties growing up LOL.

One thing to think about , any classic car can get expensive to maintain/restore unless you know how to do it yourself. I've watched many non-car people spend boatloads of cash having other people maintain their classic car.

Most classic cars are owned/restored by car guys.

Most classic cars sell for less than what it costs to restore one. It is a labor of love.

Brand loyalties aside, those Mustangs are overrated. They are a glorified Ford Falcon with different skin on them.
Yes, there is a huge following for them, but there is also a huge following for Al Qaeda.

LOL, 52 Carl!

Very nice mustang! While I can surely appreciate 60’s and 70’s muscle, I have shared many of the same circles as hippie for the last 35 years or so. The dirt sprint car division now running cylinder heads @ 295cc intake runners, the fuel injection on these things(alcohol), have 3” stacks that you can drop a baseball in, the small block Chevy really isn’t a small block Chevy any more in Hippie and I’s world. Sorry Hippie, I guess the MOPAR and ford stuff have came a long too! 😜😂

It’s crazy how expensive it gotten to build the motors today, I’ve got an international pickup I’ve thought about fixing up but man I’d have more in it than a hot rod.

laugh. I hear ya!

Most chevy's didn't have the power to do a good burn out and we called them "chirppers". The wheel hop they had made a chirps chirp chirp sound from the wheel hop. Then they started putting traction bars on them, some goofy looking deal that REAL cars didn't need! grin

So the Mustang is here, new plugs, wires, oil, flushed the trans changed the filter, new carb. Pretty good until it goes to paint. So I'm picking up an early 80s firebird.... any points back on the card for that car or did I miss the mark again... this one is a junk yard revival

Or if you can't drive a gear box car....A turbo 400 with a shift kit....and 3:23 posi

Please tell me it at least has a V8. And yes, 81 or 82 would be far better than a Gen 3.

Working on a 2000 Firehawk in the shop.

88 k orig miles

Real clean ...orig paint ..4 speed car

Drives it to the Local Dragway....and runs a 13.1 ..with street tires and closed exhaust

Not too shabby

I always liked the Firehawk package on that model. What are you doing to it?
