I believe heaven for each person is what he desires it to be God knows our minds and hearts and he knows what will make us happy. I hope you are right. I want to see my old dogs again. Dogs don't have souls.

Dogs don’t have souls but what if that’s your heaven to be with your dogs? No different than if your heaven is to be a dog here on Earth. Some people think their perception is reality. If your a God with the capability to create a heaven the your heaven will be what you want.

Everything dies, baby. That’s a fact.
Let me ask a follow up question. There’s a lot of talk about souls here. What is a soul-in the Bible, that is?
The Hebrew word that is translated to “soul” is “nefesh”. If you read Genesis 1 and 2, you’ll see that all creatures under the skies (birds, fish, land animals [including humans]) are called “nefesh hayah” or “living souls”. If we are speaking in Biblical terms, then we don’t have souls, we are souls. The same can also be said of all other animals…so…what does that mean? I like the cut of your jib You are correct we don’t have souls we ARE souls

If your walking in the presence of God I don't believe you will give two flips about your dead hound or any other worldly pleasure for that matter. However, I believe that the new earth will be His perfect creation, as was Eden. I'm sure, as with Eden, there will be critters running around even hound dogs.

Dead is dead.
If you want to talk about after-life; let's do it in the after-life forum.

Heb.9:27 tell you what happens. Yes Gus, I actually started typing out Heb 9:27 twice earlier today and got calls to an emergency. I'm glad you recognized this passage. Far sure to die ones but no thanks to the second death.

Ps 145:16 says He will open his hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. Even members of my own congregation give me the whole schpeal that animals weren’t promised everlasting life . If I still dream about the pets that I loved and still miss, then God knows how much I love them and he has instilled that gift in me and he must love them too. Nobody can tell me any different. And if I’m wrong then I’ll be dead and asleep and not know any different. The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid;and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child lead them Isaiah 11:6

There is no greater mystery than death. It is for some a "veil of uncertainty".
It's simple, I'm putting all my marbles on the redemption of Christ to save me. If that's wrong, then I'm lost forever.
Most in this country have things people in other countries only dream about. Yet, they want America to be more like those other countries.

I believe that there most certainly is a heaven and that there is also a place of eternal darkness. Wayyy to many near death experiences that negate the dead is dead belief. The near death experiences have been written off by some scientists who say that it’s only the brain making the body more comfortable as it is dying,,, But, I’ve been reading about the near death experiences as of late… One such book that I’m reading is called “ imagine heaven “ by John Burke.. An extremely fascinating book. There are several instances in the book that would dispute the “ dream state “ theory. One gentleman for example… had passed, and watched himself being worked on,,, during the procedure to bring him back from a heart attack,,, he had to be intubated….one of the nurses removed his false teeth…and put them into one of the drawers in the emergency room. The doctors were obviously successful in bringing him back… and he was asking a nurse if he could please get his dentures back… he told her where she would find them … in a particular drawer. Sure enough… they were right where he said they would be. Other individuals talk about going through the floors and seeing particular objects.. like a shoe on a rooftop,, and then later being confirmed. I think the evidence, though is found in the Holy Bible. JESUS did indeed resurrect from the dead. I won’t go into all the details about some of the fantastic mysteries of the BIBLE,,, and how everything ties together.. how the prophecies about JESUS was spot on… and so on and so forth… John wrote about seeing heaven and all of its glory… and I don’t think he was telling fairy tales. His description of heaven and of GOD and JESUS… are exactly as described by some individuals who have had near death experiences. Even scientifically, something happens to us… energy goes somewhere. There’s just wayyyyy to many coincidences that things work in such perfect motion…. From the gravity of the universe,,, our perfect distance from the sun, our atmosphere, the bacteria in our stomachs, our dna. Oh yeah,,, something definitely is going to happen to us after we physically pass away. I would strongly recommend “ imagine heaven “ by John Burke and any stuff written by lee strobel.
Stand by your principles, Stand by your guns, and victory complete and permanent is sure at last. Abraham Lincoln

I believe in God and heaven! I also believe in what I've seen. I've seen the light go out in many animals eyes . Have read about blowing out the candle when someone passes ( the light going out.). That energy goes somewhere, energy just transforms into a different form, it never really disappears .
