Your work is always amazing. Great job. I'm sure your wife is thrilled.
57 years trapping. It's who I am. Every day is still as exciting as it was when I was a kid but a little more work.

You traded it for your wife? As nice as that bag is I'm guessing the other guy got the better of the deal.

Thank you for all the compliments. They sure help to keep me motivated. The wife loves it. Now on to a matching knife sheath and awl case. Then a belt to hang them all from. 20scout, I wouldn't trade her for anything.

20scout, I wouldn't trade her for anything. Snow, she definitely looks like a keeper!

Just put the finshing touches on a little beaded pouch for the wife. This is a stirke a light bag, they typically contained flint and steel kits, for fire starting. Women wore them on their belts, men would have them tied to their bowcase/quiver. Beaded on stiff leather (boot tops were common). Trimmed with hand rolled tin cones, dyed horsehair and large glass beads. man when you find some of those "trinkets" in archaeological sites that are 300+ years old always impressed. especially the cones that were traded up the Miss......to get into another watershed here
