Was in a local gun shop yesterday. They had thousands upon thousands of small rifle and pistol primers.
All makes: CCI, Federal, Remington, Winchester, Aguilla....Both in standard or magnum. Buy all you want and the prices have come down some. Under $8 per 100.
But not a large rifle or pistol primer to be had. That's just weird.

I was smart to buy 5k of each large primer and small primer al cci when they were cheap.

Large rifle primers seem to be non existent around my area.

No shortage of small rifle and small pistol primers though.

Not sure what the weapon of choice is in Russia or Ukraine, but they must use large rifle primers for all their ammo. With some luck, they will stop shooting at each other if we stop supplying their ammo and we can get some primers back on the shelf.

Went to a local gun shop several months ago and they had LRPs. Then y'all started talking about a shortage and Pete went back several weeks ago to buy primers. They had SRPs, SPPs, and LPPs but no LRPs or 209s.

Chedite primers are available. I never used them. That bubba roundtree guy does on youtube. What I have been reading says you get a little less pressure and velocity than winchester 209 if you use a load calling for winchesters. also if you load the same hull after with winchester the pocket may be loose as chedite primers have less taper.

This is indeed true. They are also known to create issues with Browning firing pins.

I've seen primers at 2 local places here now and they were also Remington 9 1/2's.

I bought a brick of them when I was in the one shop on Thursday.....120$

If you didn’t know almost all primers and powders are manufactured in China and as of April 1 China has stated they will no longer ship either to the USA

Powder is made in Australia Canada and Florida. Also Europe. Im not sure about lead styphnate for primers

Not sure what today's price is, but a month or so back, they had them out on the floor for $50 per 500 primers. They are not sold in 1000 count bricks. The case just has 50 loose sleeves in it. They tape 5 sleeves together to get you to 500.
