Did T-Man have the strictly trapping forum when you first got here?
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Good question. I just posted a coyote I caught using a kill pole and it is now gone. Wait what ? I just commented on it not long ago I’m starting to notice a trend…

I try to post a lot of trapping- related content and pics to start trapping- related threads. Only a handful of others on here add trapping info. Several just critique what you post when they only have experience trapping closet mice.
Sometimes I do respond to political BS and other topics, but I regret it most times.

Few are trapping because of no return so they talk about other stuff. Even during fur's last good spike in 2010-11 there wasn't much...about like now. Plus, beaver ain't gonna get any higher than we are seeing right now. I guess that don't matter to the closet mice trappers.

I guess a lot of guys just like to blow off steam about politics/religion and border this, president that.... Thats fine and all if its what you want but I retired from the dept of justice, the gov't... Its the last thing I want to talk about every 15 minutes of every day, LOL... Id rather talk about which #1 long you like for mushrat slides than the border... Thats just me but to each their own...

Few are trapping because of no return so they talk about other stuff. They dont get a return because they dont trap And there comes a point when everything has been covered. And some likely assume most trappers already know the trade,so feel like anything they might add is redundant. And some may not share certain methods because they feel they are irrelevant to 90% of trappers on here and perhaps wont be understood,or go over mosts heads..

I'm guessing because when you came on here 10 years ago fur prices were still decent. Wasn't that about when otter were bringing up to $150? There were a lot of new trappers at that time in it for the money. Since then many of those trappers quit, and the rest have learned how to trap and aren't new anymore. Not a lot of new guys jumping in to trap $2 coon.
I think most of us on here have been here longer than you, and we actually have trapped for at least that long and so don't find a lot of new subjects to jaw about. I try to answer questions for newbies, but honestly for the past 5 years I don't think I've had more than 20 sets out at any one time. Just not much to talk about.

There is no right way or wrong way to trap something. Unfortunately, on here there is. Why even post what works for you where you live and trap?
