Anybody at the Nephi fur auction this weekend? Much fur coming in? Any idea how many buyers? This auction is usually a good benchmark for what western fur will sell for. Just hoping someone would keep us posted.

I imagine they are very busy getting set up and getting fur checked in. Probably be tomorrow before any one has time to post pictures.

And not to hi Jack from the Utah sale but Jim Curran has just answered Nevada will be a 2 day sale and they have room for more fur.

February 28th -29th. Riverton,WY Kind of screwy being on a wednesday and thusday.

New Mexico is March 2 in Estancia New Mexico. Fur checked in on Thursday through Sat. Ph 575-649-1684

It is beneficial for the buyers to have it in the middle of the week.

Nicely sandwiched in between Fallon, Nevada the week end before and Prineville, Oregon the weekend after. Though it is a lot of driving to take in all 3 sales!?

March needs one more weekend and everybody would be happy!!

OK, My question here is, why are none of the western sales listed in the fur auction/sale thread on Trapperman? No one advertising their sale?

I hope its a sign that the sales are full of sellers.

I went to it to set up a ITA booth and do a demo. 500 or so cats I woukd estimate and not much grease fur. Normal 4 big buyers. We left before bids were read but I got a text that top cat was $1,067, down $400 from last year. One guy averaged $397.

There are so many forums on Tman that most members don’t know they exist. Basically no one knows about the fur sale directory or the fur buyer directory.

I have periodically checked that forum over the months but since there's nothing there I finally gave up.
