So I ran traps with my boys and they had this by a back foot. Talk about moving some dirt.

Then we went and meet Beaver Reliever7 and he gave my 13 year old some #1 cs 1# cs stop loss and some #1 LS stop loss. He is now reading up on mink and rats . It's great meeting. Such a stand up guy.

Then I took the boys to shoot clays where there were ,7 throwers for different presentations. They ran through 10 boxes.

Then we went and set a few beaver sets came home to a nice dinner. Watching old walker tx ranger shows. Then to bed early because we have to be up and leave for a wrestling match about 90 miles away. Hopefully we don't have to stay all day so we can check traps in the day light. But if not we have lights.

It has been a very nice and relaxing day.

Groundhog is what it was. Now it's buzzard food.

Woodchuck is fantastic coyote bait. Easy way to use it; Just gut and cut up in pieces with the hide on. The fur has a smell that drives them wild. Freeze it on something like a cookie sheet with pieces spread apart.
Then toss in a freezer bag. This lets you take individual pieces out for sets.

Sounds like you had a great day with the family. Good luck on your beaver sets.

Thanks. I'm just happy to remove the groundhogs. They do a lot of damage and end up digging under the barn. Using them and making bait has recently caught my attention and interest. I need a basic how to book to shorten the learning curve. Like what needs done to keep a bait from going bad and shelf stable.

I only got one bever set in because it was getting late and the boys were setting for chicken killers out friends are having issues with. My 11 year old showed interest in setting some himself so I stuck by his side to answer all his questions.

Won't get to do any checks tell this evening after we get home from the wrestling matches. I thought about going to check early with a light but my son's 4wheeler is loud and we have to drive right beside our friends house. I didn't think it would be polite to do so and wake him and his wife up.
