Why is there only one single state fur auction listed in the Fur sales directory on Trapperman? No one willing to advertise their states fur sale?

The directory probably needs to be brought to everyone's attention as a reminder - which you just did!
I'm guilty of not using it as our sale was in January. I forgot it was there.

It needs cooperation from the state fur sales directors to,rovidenthe info to the moderator that is in charge of that forum.

It is a post only forum, to keep it from getting cluttered up with useless info. Same is true of the fur buyers directory.

There are so many (too many ??) side forums on Tman. Every one goes to the main forum or the Trap,Shed and they don’t realize all the other forums even exist.

So then let's keep this at the top for enough time to allow the fur sales directors to see it and post on the fur sales directory! Paul, can you put this in the top bar for six weeks or so?

If you allow any one to post on the fur sales directory, it will defeat the purpose. Idiots will start posting comments that don’t belong and it will turn into a big mess - much like the main forum is.

It needs to be an information ONLY forum, with one moderator, and only a moderator, doing the posting.

Fur sale director contacts the moderator with the info and the moderator posts the info in a standard format.

I was that moderator for a couple of years. Thankless job! Like pulling teeth to get information. Moderator would have to spend time searching the internet to gather info. Info that a lot of people won’t even know is there.

Endeavor to persevere! (chief Dan George). Do this the way Nancy suggests, we just need fur auction managers or officers of the state associations to step up to the plate and advertise their states fur auction (for free)!
