Is there a way do nite latch a no bs flopper pan? Maybe file a notch in the dog? Or is it just a stupid question.

not at all, Ive night latched pans like that by filing a notch in the dog itself. I dont know how thick the dogs are on those traps but I have changed dogs to a thicker one before so I could nightlatch them..

File the dog or weld a piece of flat stock over the pan notch

But why?

I used to notch all my dogs and not the pans, it worked just fine. I squared up the dog face and ran the flat file inside the dog notch. I know the Paw-si trip pans worked fine in a similar fashion the dog had a bubble near the tip and would night latch the pan edge.

They are not designed for that. Kendall runs a high pan for less tension.

How dose that work?

`I think the high pan thing is more for giving the mink a target to hit with their feet instead of landing on the jaws/levers. Also a good thing for running dryland blind sets. Had to turn a few angy bobcats loose after that little experiment.
