crowheart -
I know moose. I don't know elk, except how to put them in the freezer. Newborns, in my experience, are about 15 kilo's (33 lbs). Within 2 weeks, they're up to about 30 kilo's (66 lbs). That photo looks to be about 35 lbs.
Jack.

Crowheart, why are you having such "fun" making Jack guess at things ? Of course he is a gentleman and gracious about the game.
I do, howevah, adhere firmly to the old Star trek movie line from Jim, who said " I believe in Spock's 'best guesses' much more than other people's 'facts'".
What Jack knows, and hasn't even written down in book form yet, would fill volumes of cherished knowledge.

Another Star Trek quote, one I use quite regular "Jeez, Jim. I'm just a country doctor."

Thomas, I freely admit that I am. It is astounding that not a few things scoffed at years ago , looked at as fiction in technology , and yet they were back then, have since then, become reality.
Someone told me once, jets don't fly that fast -as in the movie Stealth. Tinman. Well, I said, 50 years ago, no pilot would have thought the jets now could do half the things they can.
My grandfather , leading scientist at NASA , educated me on many inventions that would blow the mind . Inventions years ago , that were stopped from becoming reality because of MONEY. Inventions bought off and stopped by companies who knew they would lose control.
Yes I do appreciate some fiction. So does our Jack, evidently.

Over the years I have jokingly said I thought I seen everything. until some event occurred that I never would have believed to be possible This website is a source of many people that have had many incredible opportunities in real life to expand the knowledge of what is possible . And in life knowledge is power There many various so called ordinary people on this site are in fact brilliant and experts at what they do and how things work together
