So last weekend we took our Daughter in law, Grand daughter, Son and her Parents to a nice Italian Restaurant for our Daughter in laws Birthday. Well after we ordered I slipped off to the Bathroom to check my Blood Sugar and take my Insulin shot. I was back at the table talking to Darcys Parents when The Manager showed up with the Police claiming that I was shooting up in the Bathroom. One Officer saw that it was an Insulin Pen right off. We ended up leaving since the Manager was not handling it well at all. I guess the Manager did not know that my wife worked there during High School and that Darcys mother actually went to school with the Owner. To make a long story short the Owner got rid of the manager because he was even hard on the staff. Now we all have a free Meal and drinks Tomorrow night. I talked to Darcys Dad today and we are all meeting to recelebrate Darcys Birthdate. I am ordering a Pitcher of Jack and Diet Coke and a straw. So is Darcys Dad. Hey it is free!!! I already told my wife she drives or our son will give us a ride back to their place. Heck I might even eat my Lasagna but will probably take it to go.

How did the manager know that if you were in the bathroom while taking your insulin?

I would order a round for the whole place on their tab.

Someone saw him and reported it. He posted the whole story a week or two ago.

Because the other man in the Bathroom watched me poke my finger check my Blood and give my shot. I even commented to him that Diabetes sucks.

Sorry, I did on the original post. It is called Felipos. They have the BEST Italian in Milwaukee Bar none. It has been in the Family for Generations and that manager only lasted about three weeks. The Owner who my wife worked for in High School is a great guy. You can tell when a lot of the staff have been there for years. He treats the customers and his employees like gold which was why it surprised me so much. I never check my blood in a public setting or give my shots in one either. I always considered it rude especially in a Diner in front of everyone. I always excuse myself and retire to the Bathroom and have never been bothered before. From what my wife told me this same manager was heard cursing the staff in the kitchen and the customers did not like that either. BTW his Lasagna is GREAT!! A lot of Carbs for my Diabetes but I limit it to once or twice a year. Again we eat there anytime we got into Milwaukee when we lived in WV. NEVER EVER had a bad experience until this one time.

Mando he also makes a great House Chef Salad as well as Italian Salad. His Pizzas are great as well.

So how did it go?

That was a great gesture of compensation on the part of the owner.
