I run mb 550 no problems. At the OSTA convention a few years ago bought 6 dukes to try the coyotes tested them and bent the levers
so bad you could not set them. Had to get a screwdriver and fix them {JUNK IMO}

I've been using mb 550's for several years now. I bought a dozen Duke 550's just to try. Maybe I was lucky but I didn't have to do anything to mine except add more chain, same with mb's. I've caught a bunch of coyotes in them and haven't had any problems. To tell you the truth I can't tell any difference between the 2 as far as catching a is. Just my two cents worth

When I pay good money for something I expect it to work as advertized.
I guess if you like to spend time monkeying around with traps more than you like trapping or putting up fur,you could just buy a box of trap parts to save money and spend the time putting them all together.
Trap mtc is one thing,having to repair new traps is quite another.
