I thought this might be beneficial to those of you out and about on the rivers. Every year I recover dozens of fishing lures using this method: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BixpWJeqEY

It works in places where it isn't always freezing too.

Thanks for the lure harvesting tips. It's not uncommon to see 20 plus lures in some trees around here, on heavily fished public waters.

i do this all the time half of my tackle box is lures i didnt buy

Purdy slick- I had to teach my kid how to climb trees (read be more careful) because he got some many snagged. I am adept at pitching, under hand, and side arm casting so I rarely loose one. I am also bad to use med / heavy poles and braded line so I can muscle out of most snages without breaking off.

At his temps, I would feed critters, run the line, and get back inside PDQ- hats off to him.
