Cool. I love those fish. My red bellies were tough as nails too, easy to keep. They could survive in a toilet bowl. Very timid too. There’s only been one that could be a little dicey when sticking your hand in the tank. Normally they all hide.

Raised several that got to be hand size they could make a clean cut on a feeder goldfish when the bit them in half, you would here a little ruckus then look at the tank and 1/2 a goldfish remained . They sure messed up a tank with scales they were quarter size when I bought them. The ate my freshwater stingray one day out of the blue I was not happy.

I was wondering if the caymans were eating the skull or snatching up the piranhas during the frenzy. As quickly as they hit and ran my guess they were grabbing fish.

It is believed that there is a breading population of them in Lake of the Ozarks here in Missouri.
seems like a very large minnow type trapp with a funnel at both ends possibly made from two 55 gallon barrels with wire funnels and some hanging bloody meat would catch them then haul up the barrel.
