We’ve just had ice go out on our marsh here.
Is it to early to put out floats, or should i wait for awhile?

That depends on how confident you are that they won't ice in again or how long they will be ice free. Moving water etc. Every situation varies.

I don't use a lot of floats but when I do- spring seems to be the best time. I would sure try it if you have open water conditions.

Marshes and muskrats don’t carry calendars, they respond to theIr situation. A mating launch in January would be unprecedented.

Sure is jk, there was actually 5 of them little fur balls crowded on it but 2 jumped before I get a picture
