3 rd strike so I am guessing I am safe for a while

Wife got mad at me again,,,,, so I went out to cuss at the tree and not her.
Sitting in the outdoor office and I hear a sound and see light flickering …..

Where is Shakeyjake when you need his 2 cents worth.
Your ground wire at the pole is broken and you are getting 220 or 660 once and awhile

Man I hate those cords! The more expensive ones have a bit better connection, but they’re like the gimmicks that turn a normal receptacal into a quad or 6. You’d normally have some fried stuff if your service neutral was gone depending on how well your panel is balanced. One customer had one for years before he called in a “flickering lights”. 130ish on one side, 110ish on the other…..lucky. The highest I’ve seen is 60ish and 180ish on the other. But the most you’ll have on a broken neutral call will be the voltage the transformer is designed to provide….usually 240, but most will be on one leg…lol
I’ve heard some really cool stories when a 66kv line makes contact with a 12kv distribution line…..then system control hammers it a couple more times from another direction after the auto reclosing breaker tried 3 times. Alotta sparks flying outta sockets…hahaha.
