I would rather take a bullet to the head or heart then what Smith went through. The whole story of the murder and execution is pretty twisted. Seems like all the overdoses from narcotics they could come up with a better system even hanging is more humane.

I would argue that what awaits those that have chosen the path of destruction and have no recourse to the Throne is no comparison to how one suffers after.

If you've had any medical procedure where you're put under, you know you have no feeling of what's happening.
To me , IMHO the injections are an easy way out.
If they put you under as I understand it, you don't feel anything.
IMHO Anti death penalty activists , make a bigger deal out of this, like Animal activists use propaganda of suffering kittens and puppies to get more money from bleeding hearts.
Especially with DNA testing now, removing 99% of doubt.

I've always thought the family of the victim should decide the fate of the killer. Death or life in prison. As for methods of execution, hanging seems pretty cheap and effective. May even provide employment for your local carpenter...

He beat a woman to death with a fire poker for 1000.00! I really could care less how he was put to death. If was up to me you would die by the same means you killed someone. Everyone's always worried about the killer's well being and treatment and the victim's and their family never are mentioned. Sit on death row being cared for 34 years isn't a death penalty, if it's not going to be carried out in a timely manner then do away with it!

Id be fine getting everyone on death row in a cage and setting them on fire once a decade ISIS style!
