Are the swivels that come on this trap heavy enough? I’m sure they’ve been thoroughly tested but they look a little thin to me.

Hopefully I’ll know in a day or so. I bought one just to see what they were like. Where are you looking to order them through?

Barring a bear, cat or gator trying to haul off a catch I don't expect 330 swivels get that much pressure at least not for much more than a minute or so. But they look plenty strong enough to me even if not my first choice for a coni swivel. I use similar sized, 300lb, as end swivels on trotlines.

trappingfanatic, please post a review when you get your's. They are on my short list but haven't yet due to lack of feedback on them.

Yup, best price is on their ebay page. Free shipping.

Their online website doesn't have discounts for buying 12 or free shipping. And emailing them just gets a rude reply.

I use similar swivels on my extensions all the time. Theyre rated to 400 lbs and I've had no problems with them. Held fine on a 66# beaver that managed to get his front foot in a 220 set for otter

Steve I cant speak for those exact swivels but I use similar ones on my trotlines and they will hold a ton of weight..Id bet those are rated for 300-400 pounds.. I have used them on snares before too but cant remember what I caught on them. I can say none ever failed on me

I have them in hand and getting ready to deploy. I’m going to go with the original swivel this season. By next year I may do the six inches of chain through the spring eye circled and secured with a heavy trap swivel. All my others are fixed that way. Now, who’s used them and likes them. I ordered from PCS.
My review having only handled them is they’re pretty tight and a quality trap. The trigger wires are malleable and I like that. I like the way the dog is tight over the trigger too. Jaws are supposed to not bend. It’s been years since I’ve bought anything but Belisle. I think I’m going to like these.

Haven’t got any notice yet that they’ve shipped so I guess I’ll just wait and see. I won’t get a chance to use them until spring beaver season, but I’ll definitely be playing around with it out in the shop. Did you order directly through PCS, or their eBay account.

Smaller barrel swivels (400 to 500lb) like on the Rudy are what I prefer for an in-line swivel about 15-18" from the trap. The wire clip attached to the trap doesn't impress me much though.

My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

Ordered from their website. I asked after a couple days if they provided any tracking and they started it then and sent it to me. Would have arrived in three or four days but we had bad weather that delayed FedEx.
