I love CDR's for beaver and have used them a lot. That said even, offset with laminations its overkill for kittys. Yes it makes a huge kill area and would make a dandy exposed pan set but personally Id stick with mb 650's or a good #2 or #3. Ive had a lot of luck with mb 650's and #3 bridgers and exposed pan sets.. Plenty of kill area and not nearly as hard on by catch.. Thats just my humble two cents..

No doubt they would work great. But the price is where I get hung up. Be hard to put very many in the truck for $35.00 a trap.
May God bless you and yours

I gotta wonder what kind of springs it has on it. It doesn't take much to hold a bobcat, but those big jaws take some spring strength to close fast, especially if they are coming up through some crusty snow.
I do find it kind of humorous that the pan has a picture of a coyote right above the words "bobcat special". The coyote is the WCS company logo.

Are these WCS traps pretty much equal to the original CDR traps? Is the quality as good as the original?
Rickey Ive read the build quality is very good but there were incidents of springs being "wrong" as in not coiled correctly, ,, but the last post I saw about that was 2 years ago.. Im hoping they fixed that issue. One would think they would Im gonna try a couple new ones and see... I loved those traps for a long time.. Those and MB750's sure caught me a lot of fur

I talked with a maker of wcs and he said they had 3000 7.5 ready to be put together but didn’t have the time to do them.So I doubt they threw all those spring’s away and started over. Just curious, how long ago was that? Yea I know what you mean. I woild hope they would but doubtful.... I remember when CDR's were really popular and places could not keep them in stock. Back then there was not all the big trap choices like there is now though.. I doubt they sell as many CDR's as Carl use to..
