I have some predator control work for next winter (2024-25) in upstate South Carolina. It is too far for me to travel and bring all my gear, freezer, SxS, etc. It's 7 hrs from me. Plus, I'm just about burnt out on these type trapping jobs where I'm away from home for 2 weeks or more.
Here is what this will require of you:
* tracts are located between Columbia, SC and NC state line.
* two different landowners.
* two seperate tracts (500 acres + & 1000 acres +.
* predator control is what's needed (fawn and nest predators)...no beaver work.
* both jobs conducted simultaneously may pay as much as 5 to 6 grand upon completion.
* properties are intensively managed for wildlife (deer & turkeys).
* mostly timbered tracts with food plots and good road network.
* there is a possibility of nice lodging and skinning facilities (keep those bobcats and foxes in-season.)
*a good trapper may be invited to continue predator control in future years.
*12 to 14 consecutive trapping days needed to complete a good removal job.
*you should be able to trap both tracts simultaneously.
*you will need good coyote and bcat gear...at least 100 or more footholds.
*you will need good coon gear.....at least 100 or more DPs.
*soil conditions are mostly clay. Not real easy.
*an ATV or SxS is a bonus as weather may limit pickup truck access.
*be prepared to set properties heavy...not just a few road intersections.
*you MUST comply with all South Carolina trapping laws and regs.
*your trapping license cost can be included in your service charge.
*you MUST comply with the landowner's directions as to when and where.
*you MUST operate as a professional trapper at all times.
*provide landowners with 100% honest catch report when job is done.
*landowner may desire daily texted pics of your catches.
*this is NOT a southern trapping vacation. But, I guess it could be. Depends on how good you are.
If you can meet all these requirements and are seriously interested, PM me and I'll dig deeper into your eligibility to handle these jobs.
DO NOT PM me if you cannot handle this. THIS IS NOT A LEARNER'S JOB!! I need someone who is experienced and can travel to, stay at, and trap these properties efficiently and effectively for a 12 to 14 day stint. This is NOT a job for a person that has a full-time job...unless you live right down the road and have very flexible hours.
If you're the type that don't/won't follow the law to the letter, don't bother me. Poaching, when you're being paid to trap, will get you hooked up...and not in a good way....I'll guarantee it!!! And, I'll make sure of it!!!
If you qualify I will gather needed info and contacts over next several weeks and relay to the trapper I feel can handle this.
