Antique,Rare, Large, Grizzly Bear, Patented 1856, #6, Trap $1,500 Details Condition Used - Good Color Brown Date Range 1800-1899 Country of Origin US Material Steel This was my grandfather's and in my family for almost 100 years. I have done a tremendous amount of research, this has, also been sold on Live Auctioneers.This is a real bear trap, it is not fake. Crafted from solid steel, comes with a setting clamp and safety slide. Trap features a double spring composition with a heavy gauge drag chain ring and cast teeth on the jaws.Teeth works! Measures:44"-L x 16"- W x 11" Has plenty of natural patina.Pre-owned, original condition, coated w/1 coat of linseed oil to prevent further rusting.Has not been used in years. Great collector's item.Price is firm! FYI It is a modern reproduction. (That was all I said) 10:27 AM i I am in a house that was built in 1939 and these traps have been in the house all this time.These traps are old!
